The problem with this theory is that Russia has just as good cyber-ops, a history of covert "active measures" far more insidious than China's international espionage efforts, and the motive with NATO and Ukraine. China's ambition is primarily economic. If you want an AI scare from China, think phishing automation and IP exfiltration, not destructive malware. China's always been of the mind that you shouldn't attack when you can leech.
