How dare they not mention the Thrawn books! Those are some of the greatest pieces of Star Wars literature ever written

A sleeper pick, but Kenobi by John Jackson Miller is incredible. It's about Obi-Wan's first I think it's about a couple months on Tatooine. Its not told through his lens most of the time, but its really cool seeing these townspeople wonder who Obi-Wan is, the tusken raiders are really well done in this book, you actually learn the consequences of Anakin killing the tuskens in AOTC as well later on, or at least its alluded to.

The Lost Tribe of the Sith. An awesome collection of short stories about the OG Sith during the Great Hyperspace Wars. Very fun and original read. Highly Recommend!

One of my favorite trilogies is the swarm wars, I don’t know how these were generally received but they were very good storytelling and world building for me. I was very able to immerse myself heavily and paint the pictures of the books. I’ve reread them since my childhood and they still hold up. The thrawn books as well.

You're not going to find many better novels than Plagueis - it's easily a Top Three SW book for me. Kenobi, the Maul books, Legacy of The Force series, Rise of Vader are some good ones.

If you're listening to audiobooks, definately The Thrawn Trilogy - the narrator on Audible was excellent and did dead-on impersonations of many of the OT characters. They're also some of the best books in the EU.

Listened to the Plagueis novel 2 years ago and just blew my mind. Really gotta listen to the Path of Destruction at some point.

One book I really enjoyed, both reading and listening to from the Disney era was Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade.

Darth Bane is a must read. Darth Plagueis goes without saying.

Plagueis is still my favorite, darth bane is awesome, and the Plagueis Companion book Maul: Lockdown is a great combination of violent action, horror, and intrigue.
For canon, while you may not like the high Republic as a whole, the opening book Light of the Jedi is really good; written by the comic author who gave us the vader comic where's he's at his maximum dark side power form. His finale to the project, Trials of the Jedi, comes out later this year
If you liked Rebels, A New Dawn is a good book.
BUT If there is one Canon author i would recommend, it would be Alexander Freed. I just finished reading his first book Twilight Company, and its grounded Battlefront view is so good. Im on his latest book released this week called Mask Of Fear, following Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and Saw Gereera in the weeks following Revenge of the Sith
