Mayra’s Story – Rotator Cuff Surgery – Temple Health

After a slip and fall on ice, Mayra suffered a severe rupture of the rotator cuff in her right shoulder as well as a traumatic nerve injury. She was referred to Eric Kropf, MD, Chair of Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine at Temple, who performed surgery to repair her rotator cuff. “He is very exact in his surgery techniques. I know that from working very intensely with physical therapists and occupational therapists after my surgery - they were amazed at how much functionality I had in my shoulder so soon after surgery.”
