I've only just seen the first one and Donnie Yen did this story absolute justice. The camera work is one of the best in any movie for years. These days CGI wows but this was all real. Can't wait to get these on BR. Worth every cent. I hope this series continues. There's so much more to go. Hong Kong movie production should be extremely proud.

OMG I cannot wait to see this! I watched the first two like 4 years ago and it really blew me away, the story and how it goes through the war, and the fight with Japanese fighters and then the struggle with Chinese masters in Hong Kong! How cool was that!! Thanks Grace! You.are.the.best!

I love the first Ip man. The dojo scene was one of the best. Donnie's been in HK cinema for over two decades. Also speaks fluent English. The 2nd installment was ok. For this one, Tyson did get me kinda excited. I like this one better than the teaser trailer, which Tyson read his line kind of flat.

Ip Man 1 main theme was about family and respect. A brother's respect for his little brother. A wife's respect for her husband career. The importance of family. And how even during harsh times family and respect and honor are important.

Yes, yes, yes! I've watched the first two movies too many times and they are very, very good. I think the first Ip man movie in 2008 is what made Donnie Yen a household name (in china). Ok, while the first movie does make a blatant point about philosophy and chinese martial arts as a whole, the series actually doesn't go all that deep about wing chun itself ( it's a highly dramatised version of Mr Yip's life...). These are good films with many themes, but culture clash is important in them. First, I have to warn you that the shadow of propaganda is ever present-- however to be honest, the first one was set during Japanese- occupied China and the second in British-colonised Hong Kong.

While the action is fab, there definitely is character and storyline to follow- what makes the movie better than most fight-it-out, period chinese movies (in my opinion). The combat scenes straight up rivals Hollywood-- holy crap, it's the stuff you want to rewatch on youtube.

Did you know that Yip Man is Bruce Lees's master? (There was a bit of controversy surrounding the use of Bruce Lee in this third movie too). At 0:09 in the trailer- was that Bruce Lee, or just a reference to him?

Anyhow, I highly recommend that you watch the first movie subbed-- tbh I'm sure that it's going to hook you into the second one XD. (Reply if you need more info, I'm just really in to Ip Man movies. ) Again, thanks for reviewing, it meant a lot!

Mike Tyson in this is fantastic and makes perfect sense considering the story line. He is still one of the greatest fighters of all time and no one can take that away from him.

The trailer is good. I would have seen the movie even if it didn't have Mike, but I've got to tell ya, not to many have a raw "force of nature" presence that Mike has, and you can bet that look of utter disdain and contempt is not just an act, Mike knows that feeling and was able to generate and transmit that emotion and intent, and it came across for me. The stare between Donnie and Mike is absolutely thick and palpable. It makes you want to stand back. And that is not even considering those who know Mr. Tyson''s true capabilities. The casting crew made an excellent, "spot on" selection in casting Mike Tyson. There aren't too many that could have conveyed better that idea of an unstoppable, seemingly insurmountable antagonist. I think some people knock Mr. Tyson''s because he conjures a menacing and intimidating presence, giant muscles, tattooed face, real life incidents of temper and violence and pro boxing capability, who better for the intimidation factor. Yeah, Mike has got issues but above all, I hope that Mr. Tyson can find peace and avoid violence even if it means leaving the area. A person with a gun could and should run because it is they that have the capability to kill. Mike Tyson has nothing to fear except God, and hopefully Mr. Tyson can continue to demonstrate that no one has a reason to fear him..

Donnie Yen has been making some great martial arts films for quite awhile. I encourage people to try the first two in the series as well as this one. It's martial arts action, and fans of the genre like me know who Donnie Yen is. He squared off with Jet Li in Once Upon A Time In China 2, and Hero. He also was in Iron Monkey which was choreographed by the great Yuen Woo Ping, Donnie was in fact a protege of his and has choreographed a great many films of his own. Hopefully he will finally get more main stream recognition like Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

I am a Wing Chun student in Hong Kong and go to a school that Chu Shong Tin was and still is a part of (Soulfully speaking). Most of Chu Shong Tin's students are teachers at the institution I go to. I watched Ip Man 1 & 2 and Donnie Yan is the perfect actor to represent Ip man because he is a brilliant actor. I'm going to watch this movie specifically because the highlight seems to be Mike Tyson (as ???) vs Ip Man (Donnie Yan), doing this because it should be considered similiar to the famous Chuck Norris Vs Bruce Lee movie showdown

Thank you do reviewing this trailer! I didn't know a 3rd one was coming out! I've seen the first 2 and they are amazing! Mike Tyson threw me off in this trailer but over all I'm excited! One of the reasons I love your channel is all the info bites you throw out! This actor is going to be in Star Wars!!!! This makes me way more interested in the Star Wars spin offs than I previously was!
