This Music is D-E-A-D

Composers have hidden secret messages in their music for centuries. From Bach's and Shostakovich's signatures in their writing to Stravinsky hiding cheeky references in The Rite of Spring (similar message to this piece!), these are fun to find and point out for your friends. This Music is D-E-A-D is continuing on that tradition of hiding messages in music, this time with the notes D, E, A, and D. How many times does this hidden message appear throughout the music? It's up to you to find out!

This Music is D-E-A-D would be a perfect addition to any recital program to show off your technical ability as a pianist. It is written for advanced level pianists who want to play contrapuntal music. Have fun!
