The panel is based on the theme of an article by Wall Street Journal's Bret Stephens: "The Decline of Human Rights: A Western ideal transformed into a shield for terrorists."

Moderator: Bret Stephens - Wall Street Journal
Bret Stephens writes the Journal's "Global View" column on foreign affairs, which runs Tuesdays in the paper. He is a deputy editorial page editor, responsible for the editorial pages of the Asian and European editions of the paper, the columnists on foreign affairs, and the Far Eastern Economic Review. Mr. Stephens was editor-inchief of The Jerusalem Post, a position he assumed at age 28. In 2004, Stephens was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and has been nominated for two Pulitzer Prizes. Stephens was raised in Mexico City and educated at The University of Chicago and the London School of Economics.

Zuhdi Jasser - American Islamic Forum for Democracy
M. Zuhdi Jasser, M.D. is the Founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD). A devout Muslim, Dr. Jasser founded AIFD in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the United States as an effort to provide an American Muslim voice advocating for the preservation of the founding principles of the United States Constitution, liberty and freedom, and the separation of mosque and state. He is leading the fight to shake the hold that the Muslim Brotherhood and their network of American Islamist organizations and mosques have on organized Islam in America.

Brooke Goldstein - Lawfare Project
Brooke Goldstein is a New York City-based human rights attorney, author and award-winning filmmaker. She is the director of The Lawfare Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about and facilitating a response to the abuse of Western legal systems and human rights law. Brooke is also the founder and director of the Children's Rights Institute (CRI), a nonprofit organization which has a special focus on the state-sponsored indoctrination and recruitment of children to become suicide-homicide bombers, child soldiers, and human shields. Brooke's award-winning documentary film, The Making of a Martyr, about Palestinian children becoming suicide bombers.

Professor Avi Bell
Avi Bell is a Professor of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law and at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Chicago, and his S.J.D. from Harvard. Bell is a widelycited expert on property law, especially government takings of property, international law, especially the laws of war, economic analysis of law and the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Professor Bell clerked for the Supreme Court of Israel, as well as in the High Court of Justice Department of Israel's State Attorney's office. Bell serves on the boards of NGO Monitor and StandWithUs. A highly respected published author and debater on the issues of international law and human rights, Bell was a vocal critic of the Goldstone Report and is known leading Judge Richard Goldstone to recant his infamous report.
