It’s a sad for football as another giant of a club disappears from our game.

Zinedine Zidane, Jean Tigana, Gourcuff, and in the modern era Tchouaméni and Joules Koundee. These are just some of memorable of the memorable players that have donned the famous colours of Bordeaux.

But now the French side has announced that they will be renouncing their professional status as a club which they obtained way in back in 1937, with players contracts terminated and the training centre closing in order to reduce financing needs.
