Base m3 MacBook Air here. This handles pretty much anything I throw at it so far, I only use this for work, school, and light video and photo editing stuff so I'm not low on storage, it's awesome.

My dad had a 2013 iMac until he replaced it last year. It still worked fine.

I got a late 2013 Mac but it got a lot slower on Big Sur

I use a Macbook Air 2013 Mid and the mac os software I'm using on it is Big Sur 😅

you cant forget that apple also uses shared memory which means if youre playing a game thats using 3gb of vram you only have 5gb left for the game and everything else

For example I'm currently using a MacBook Pro from Late 2013 and it still holds up well for basic tasks like writing, but i can still play some games like Minecraft on it.
Bootcamp works great for other games.
But the performance is meh.

if you want a really cheap mac, you can go for the mac mini, at least in europe/germany that’s the case

If apple only made laptops, and tablets to a certain degree I’d say that there really good at what they do. But just the iPhone the smart watch and the rest is done much better by others also if they would make there own camera that would go crazy

Its not as overpriced as most apple products but still is a bit overpriced but the ecosystem does make up for it
