With organized, the military lockers hold 130, wooden crates hold 75 while military crates only hold 65 (for some reason). I just military crates for ammo and the lockers for guns.

The paint idea for wooden crates was genius advice. I'm in the middle of building my own base and am having to rely on memory to figure out where shit is until I'm able to build separate rooms to house different items.

It doesn't matter I never live long enough anyway. I managed to stock everything up into an area but once the power goes out I'm always missing something. Either I don't have an ax to make trees or I don't have fuel for fire or I can't make crates to store anything.

Getting all three skills is essential to a base. I've never been able to get all three skills at once.

Sooo military crates for weapons, green wood crates for melee, blue for clothing, yellow for ammo (since it matches brass casings)
Red for medical (since red can be taken as a severe threat/danger color)
Grey for construction/metalwork (concrete/metals)
Brown for carpentry (planks/other wood items)
Orange for all tools not used as weapons
And Pink for all the random stupid shit I find in Kentucky
