For everyone wondering, no ankylosaurus was NOT downsized recently, thats misinformation in the paleo community, Anky was last downsized 20 years ago, back in 2004 by carpenter, then upsized in 2017 by Victoria Arbour from 6 meters (carpenters interpretation) to 8-10 meters, and in 2019 the AMNH5214 and CMN8800 specimens of anky were estimated to weight 5 and 8 tons respectively (which are still the measurements we use today) 5-8 tons for an adult ankylosaurus magniventris.

At 6 to 8 tons Ankylosaurus was relatively heavier animal. But Tricaratops estimates place it from 6-12 tons being heavier still only due to its massive size
