My husband had allstate for his car when we got married. We let his policy lapse and put both his and my car with statefarm in a multi car policy. After a month, his allstate agent called and threatened me with jail because we let the allstate policy lapse. (“I’m going to call the state police and have you arrested because his car isn’t covered any more.”). I laughed at the guy and responded, “is this a sales tactic that actually works for you? Bless your heart - go ahead call them.” I can honestly say that we will never have allstate for anything ever again.
