How to Get Instagram and Facebook on the Apple Watch

Показать описание
There is a simple way to access Instagram and Facebook on the Apple Watch using a browser.

There isn’t a native Instagram or native Facebook app for the Apple Watch, so you’ll have to use this workaround.

First, you need to text yourself a link to Facebook or Instagram. Then, you need to open the messaging app on the Apple Watch and click the link.

It will open up a browser on the Apple Watch and you can log in to your Instagram or Facebook account.

Once you are inside of Instagram or Facebook, you can view posts, like and share and follow accounts, just like the native Instagram app.

Cool but I wonder if it’s hard on battery life. But great in a pinch

What version of Apple Watch does this work on? I tried and I can see the link on my watch but when clicked I get the message “This link isn’t viewable on Apple Watch but you can view it in your iPhone”.

Sadly this trick doesn't work on watchOS 9. I get stuck on the login page. I click the login button after typing out my username and password, but it doesn't do anything. I don't know yet if this is a watchOS 9 issue or if it's because I'm running an assistive technology feature called VoiceOver. I can't use my watch without VoiceOver, so I can't necessarily say that VoiceOver is the issue without someone literally looking at my screen, but since voiceover has a lot of bugs and iOS 16 and watchOS 9, I wouldn't be surprised if voiceover is the issue. Ith used to work before though. For now, I'm using a third-party app called WristWeb, but it crashes a lot, probably due to the VoiceOver assistive technology I have set up on the watch.

Although I get notifications from Snapchat on my Apple Watch, I sure wish there was a way to see the actual chat message on the watch. Every time its find the phone find the phone. 👻
