StarCraft II: Campaign Collection - Wings of Liberty 16 - Echoes of the Future

My definitive playthough of the StarCraft 2 Campaign Collection trilogy and Nova mission pack. Each mission video will be a walkthrough explaining and executing strategies to succeed and obtain most achievements on Brutal difficulty. All dialogues, cinematics, and story-related material will be at the end of each video.

In some cases I omit completing Mastery achievements that would require a separate playthrough detracting from a full showcase of the mission in question.

Achievements completed this video:

Army of One – Complete the Echoes of the Future mission with Zeratul killing 50 Zerg units on Normal difficulty.

Overmind Dead Body – Complete the Echoes of the Future mission on Hard difficulty in less than 20 minutes.

This is one of the two missions I used to know the speedrun strat for. If you void prison the right stuff and blink in the right places, you can basically just dive the beacons with Zeratul one after another. Whether that's satisfying for you is up to you, but I found it pretty fun.

The reason why you should do Zeratul missions first: you get research points that gives you advantages in Raynor missions.
The Raynor missions however don't give you any advantages in Zeratul missions.
So by completing Zeratul missions as early as possible make you more Raynor missions with high research level

I loved the Zeratul missions. Not so much the...er...'fandom' reactions. "OMG! They made the Overmind a hero! A good guy!" At no point did say he's a good guy. Nor does the intro to In Utter Darkness. He said 'courage'. Villains can have courage. You'd kind of need it to give Amon the Zerg version of a middle finger...tendril...whatever.

Science Vessels are just medics for your armor, and given how much medic/marine combos will carry you through much of the game, that should say a lot. Ravens are just another attack using with extra steps, you might as well be using a siege tank instead.

The next Protoss mission is my favorite SC 2 mission of them all.

So basically, he brought back skyscrapers on legs that were so destructive that the protos sealed them away, and didn't expect the zerg to be alerted? Zeratul didn't think that through.

I wanted to see you totally speedrun this mission. since zeratul becomes invincible when he walks on the beacons. and because he gets all his shields health and abilities refreshed as you may know

I don’t like this mission very much, but you can also cheese it in like a minute or two, but you’ll lose out on research at that speed.
