FydeOS 15.1 on ASUS l210m Laptop

Today we are checking out the latest version of FydeOS, 15.1, running on the ASUS l210m laptop. This is a Chromium OS based alternative to Chrome OS Flex that supports Android apps and Google Play. I forgot to mention in the video, but my trackpad was not working on Fyde, I had to use a USB mouse.

6:54 onenote and other stylus using apps, functions WAY better than webpage version.

I have only tried it on my BMAX B3 and I really like everything so far. What I do miss is putting apps and widgets on home screen. I'd also like if the start menu was more customizeble, making it smaller or make it full screen when clicking. Maybe they'll fix that, at least I hope so. I'm absolutely gonna try this on my laptop.

1 thing you missed, is that I can install fydeos on some cheap chinese x86 tablet, making it same as an expensive x86 chromeblet. you know? there are only THREE or so x86 chrombelt. and they all cost over 500USD. my cheap chinese 10" x86 tab only cost me USD200, /w wacom alike active stylus.

I have installed this on an 2017 Imac.. Well, here It's awesome but then again with 32 GB of ram it would be. Mega fast. Stats up in seconds. The win/win is I can still use linux apps. I will never ever go back to either windows or mac OS. I was even getting fed up of Linux distro hopping. I just love this. Everything is just instant. Shame about the play store though not working now.

Have tried it and i would be more than willing to have it installed onto an older laptop but the trackpad doesn't work. And i have checked with different forums and youtube clips and most everyone has their trackpad disabled and no way to re-enable it. It's a shame cause it IS a good OS. Only reason i tried this is because my Chromebook doesn't do updates anymore.

Hello again, I have FYDEOS on one of my old HP's since its introduction and I think its a better "flex" it seems to be a bit more polished... plus Android support, I use it as a "browsing laptop" in my sewing/workout room and as a Roon/Tidal endpoint to a set of powered speakers. Phillip

1 more thing: your iphone is ASSEMBLED in chi-na, it's hard to insert spy things into it. the CPUs/ICs already fab-ed in taiwan. PCBs may be printed from factory1 then move to assemble in factory2. but if something is DESIGNED in chi-na, it's a different story! fydeOS is, open source chromium-OS + 3rd party close source solution for android runtime.

It's a bloody good OS I use it on my HP 2 in 1 when you fold the screen back it gos into tablet mode and the android apps work full screen so good video calling on Facebook messager works great with the web cam and I've even setup up the Linux system even got the flatpac software to work and the apt software works even play DOS box games useing DOS on android keyboard work well and even better I just use a HDMI cable to TV to play games and streaming services you can do so much with it I'm trying to get virtual machine to run in Linux to run win10 next you can even Bluetooth music to speakers

Hi man, i did a power wash to my chrome os, but i couldn't install Linux as before on it, it says "erreur lors de l'installation de linux", any help ?

the comment that "quote" "someone told someone fydeos is spyware" got removed. Honestly that claim is without evidence, but removing it is worrysome. I hope it's the author who remove it and not OP or the company or CCP.

having everything i love about my smart phone on laptop is relay good experience I, m using it on an old refurbished dell Latitude E6520 everything is working out of the box
kids android education apps would be good to be used by teachers and projected on whiteboard

Should I get flex/fyde os or should I go for Linux (zorinOS)? I really only watch YouTube and anime and was wondering what would be better for me and I really liked that fyde os had android . What would have better performance and polish for my case ?
