I can’t be the only who thinks the sv650x is one of the nicest looking bikes on the market right now

at 73 and with 50 years on 2 wheels i just bought a used sv650, it was a cream puff, 12k mi. all original, garage kept on a batt. tender. the owner even had a complete set of soft luggage he thru into the deal, he offered to follow me home rather than install all the voodoo straps. i love this bike....no it's not a vfr, which is what i have ridden since the late 80's when i got a slightly used '86 750. being a gen 2 bike the throttle is way more sensitive than i like and the compression braking way stronger than i'm used too. it takes some getting used too. i have the on throttle figured out but i find myself slowing down to much setting up for curves. after 2 weeks of ridding i still love it and i'm glad i bought it. thanks for your input, i watched at least one of your reviews before my purchase and i used it to prevent myself from buying a k 750 i had promised to buy when i turned not ready for a pokey old guy bike. :)

Loved my old 2011 M696. My favorite bike I've ever owned. Had so much character.

Yamm, after watching your vids for a while I bought a 2017 SV650A. Could not be happier. put a Yoshimura Alpha carbon slip-on on it, and it sounds like a Ducati v-twin. If anyone is on the fence about buying an SV over a MT07, or the other 650's in the class. they are are good bikes, but the SV650 has an awesome factory suspension, sounds great with an aftermarket pipe, is bulletproof reliable, easy to service, and I think it looks sexy as well.

Instead of a ridge wallet why not just get a free rubber band.

I ride a 797 Monster and believe you would find it to be a similarly analog and rewarding bike. After having a Triumph Speed Twin, I really appreciate the cable throttle linkage. I wish the manufacturers would realize that the throttle is our primary control touchpoint, and needs to be a visceral connection to the bike.

i had a 2004 sv 650s owned it for seven years and had no regrets. reliable, characterful and fun, enough poke to get a shift on, but not too much as to get you into too much trouble.

I bought a 2003 SV650 N for 2000€ a few weeks ago as my first bike, I couldn't be happier with any other bike.

had a ducati monster 696 in the past. absolute nightmare of a bike reliability wise. However, not gonna lie, I am missing it and I never regret ever getting it. The bike was an experience every time you get on it whenever it worked; especially with a vance and hines exhaust. After having many other bikes, nothing still compares to the excitement you get when it starts up and when its roaring away at high revs.

I swapped my way into a 2002 sv650s to get back into riding after 20 years between bikes. Love it! Really can't go wrong with a sv650.
Also got a ridge wallet for Father's day a couple years back. Best wallet money can buy!

I own a SV650S 2010 model and I love it, it just runs and runs without problems, I reckon it can run for another 100Km no problems

Thank you guys for the cool review! I thought at first, well this is going to be one of those tests where the conclusion is like 'one is a better all rounder and the other one is prettier and more exclusive' but I am glad to report it was *not* the case.

We need more of these. Keep 'em coming.

Gotta give the Duc the thumbs up. Love "Character" in my rides... that is the reason why I love my Moto Guzzi's so much...

Nobody ever mentions that the SV650x has adjustable front forks, unlike the standard.

If I was going to rent a bike for fun for a day, I would get the Ducati, but if I have to live with the bike and own it and pay for its maintenance and be concerned about its reliability, then I have to go with the Suzuki.

Bikes aside, I loved the edit/production quality of this video! My two new hobbies: cameras and motorcycles. I own neither 😂 but I like that this channel checks those two boxes for me.

I would go with the Suzuki because A) water cooled and B) I have multiple dealerships in my area who sell Suzuki and can service it.

I absolutely adore my M659, especially after the de-restriction. Hilarious machine.
