Note: You can also use the relative path of the folder instead of . (dot) in the while syncing.

coming from years in the future, after following your setup guide on the command line interface, setting up the correct permissions for user access on S3 (which is a journey to say the least) then using this sync command, it just worked and i'm relieved i don't do this for a living LMAO
