My Fold 3 is still going strong with no issues. An upgrade is tempting but not necessary.

The companies don't go all the way out because of the ambitious customers who are willing to pay even for a slight change of moving the flash light. These companies like Samsung Apple only learn when the customer refuse to buy their products and their sales get hurt because of lacking of upgrades. Don't blame them, they all want to make money and squeeze every penny they can from as little investment as possible. Blame the customers who screw everybody else along with the innovation.

Love it. Direct. Straight to the point. I'm not upgrading ng Fold 4. Still rocking after a year. No lags, lightning fast, and the crease is undamaged.

we always give Apple flack for releasing the same phone every year just in a different colour but honestly we need to put Samsung in that bracket as well. Samsung has become too complacent in the folding phone market and sooner or later it'll come back and bite them

Glad Samsung isn't messing around with refining the fold. I skipped last year because the hinge wasn't promising, but now that it closes perfectly, I'm in.

Totally respect that this isn't a great upgrade for current Z Fold owners, but as a folding newbie, the 5 is the perfect jumping-in point for me. Flat hinge, slim S pen, mature software and a proven track record make me comfortable stumping up the cash, where before I was hesitant. The Pixel Fold isn't selling in Australia, and I'm anxious about anything first-gen anyhow.

Hopefully the Z Fold 6 gives current owners a worthy upgrade - I'll hold off on upgrading til the 7 or 8 😂

Guess what.. i just bought fold 4 last week after fold 5 came out😂 samsung remove power button slide gestures which fold 4 still have.. price wise cheaper and from 4 to 5 is only update not so call upgrade ❤ nice video.. exactly how i think. But for those that thought fold 5 better and u have extra cash, go ahead.. this will make ur day even better 😊

You said everything I had in mind. Glad im not the only one who feel this way. No reason at all to trade in Fold4 and add $1, 000 on top of that. I rather keep Fold4 and use $1, 000 on something more fun and exciting. Haha.

I think Samsung is testing the hinge durability this year, maybe next year we will see more significant improvements in the fold (I hope so), meanwhile I'll still rocking my fold 4

I'd also say the big increase to brightness on the inside screen is a nice upgrade tbh but definitely not a big upgrade this year.

Bonus note just watched your fold 3 vs fold 4 video and it was funny how in that one you couldn't recommend upgrading to the fold 4 if you have a fold 3 but now you're saying it's a solid upgrade lol

I think Samsung's current president is trying to turn the company into something similar to Apple. The Samsung that I knew since when I was a kid was a very innovative company who would pack it's devices with a ton of cool features and weren't afraid to try new things. Take the Galaxy S4 Zoom for example or even the first Galaxy Note edge. Samsung's first curved display smartphone. These kind of cool innovative products and designs made me love the company alot when I was a kid and I always got excited whenever my mum or Dad buys a new Galaxy flagship. But now it seems that their pace of innovation is slowing down and given that they're now among the top with Apple, they've gained the recognition that they needed and they're not willing to give in and try new things and innovate anymore. It's makes me so sad💔
