This video is about how to stamp a colored concrete patio with the ashlar slate pattern. It's also about stamping concrete with a border.

I'll teach you when to start the stamping process and how to lay your first stamp on the concrete.

I'll show you my technique to apply the release powder on the surface of the slab and how we tamp in the pattern.

You'll also learn how and where to start, which way to lock the stamps together and what to do if part of the slab is in the sun and part is in the shade.

just did my first one a 10 x 10 patio with a with a 10 x 3 sidewalk by myself with bagged concrete and a wheelbarrow not fun at all

I like when you say 15 dollars a foot. If your paying 300 a yard of concrete plus 90 dollars a bag of color then thats not enough. Guys were charging 18 dollars a foot 15 years ago around here.

Hi mike, i have seen all your videos, one think is not working for me is the roler technick, i have use the roler with asler stamps . When all was done i realize that you can realy see a continisly long roler edge when stamp was done. I thought i waz presing to hard so next time i stampef i go very lightly but when was done the edge was there. Is something i do rong.

Question. When you put the color powder down and then pull the stamps, is the powder still sitting on the concrete in a powder form? I know it gets "soaked in" some but I'm assuming its not completely soaked in. We have done stenciled concrete several times, never stamped, but we have to float the powder in and we've always been worried about the powder not being soaked in. Does this matter. And I'll echo what Akeem Moore said, another great video. I've got my partner watching and subscribing to your channel. Very good work!!!

Sometimes if it’s a little soft but have a big section to do, we use the stamping shoes to walk on top of the stamps so as not to leave big impressions.
