Let's zero in on... Protecting nature
The ecological emergency is a wakeup call we need nature-based solutions to rewild and nurture habitats If we don’t protect fragile ecosystems, life will become harder as our climates are changing faster than wildlife can adapt
We are helping create places that benefit nature and society which enhance biodiversity whilst building in the flexibility to tackle climate change
We're working with our clients to develop green spaces which protects homes from floods, clean the air, keep us cool and create spaces for our communities to enjoy
Inspiring a sustainable county When Hertfordshire County Council declared a climate emergency, we led the development of its ambitious strategy for achieving net zero
It focuses on environmental, climate, energy and social issues to cut carbon, protect nature and ensure a fair transition for all
The strategy also outlines a range of interventions to help eliminate fossil fuels from its buildings, transport and public realm
Targets include 20% improvement in nature across the county by 2050 and 20% more wildlife on council land by 2030
