Coldplay’s Limited Edition LP Made With River Plastic Collected by Interceptor 006 in Guatemala

A new step in our global partnership with Coldplay: a limited ‘Notebook Edition’ LP release of their latest album “Moon Music” will be made using river plastic we intercepted in the Rio Las Vacas in Guatemala.

This takes the collaboration of Coldplay and The Ocean Cleanup one step further. Coldplay has already helped sponsor Interceptor 005, deployed in Malaysia, and Interceptor 020, to be deployed in Indonesia.

I'm super happy to hear this considering I live in GT, but is there any info on why specifically the plastic from 006 was chosen over the other sites?

Also where do the the vinyls actually get pressed and how is the plastic being shipped there? Is the plastic processed and recycled into pellets before or after shipping from GT?

Can I start buying recycled pellets from 006 within GT?
