Played this on PS2 as a kid. One of my first and favorite games to this day. That being said that underwater colossus is the reason I’m scared of deep water

Phanalax: _Gives no real threat. It simply defends itself._

Valus: _Attacks you on sight and is pretty dangerous if you're just starting out._

Gaius: _actually has Insta-kill Attacks and introduces the mechanic of breaking armor or has prerequisites for reaching and attacking Sigils._

Barba: _The MF is Valus except he's out for blood._

Dirge: _Need I say more?_

Celosia: _NEED I SAY MORE?!_

Hydrus: _It's roar is ominous af and it electric rods are just BS._

Pelgia: _He doesn't even have a head. You smack his teeth to get him to move._

Argus: _He is basically Valus and Barba, minus the fact that he is ARMED AND DANGEROUS._

Basaran: _Not only is he a ranged enemy, his eyes are creepy as hell._

Phaedra is literally a sweetheart. You can stand under it for as long as you want and it will not attack you unless you provoke it

Genuinely, it's so interesting seeing how people rank each colossus in terms of difficulty.
As a speed runner, for me I'd probably rank them as:
Easiest 1. Quadratus (Jump on his head before the fight even begins. EZPZ)
2. Celosia (Fire doggo. Just walk up to the edge, drop the torch and immediately pick it back up. He'll bump both of you off the edge, and you can get on his back quickly.)
3. Kuromori (Skunk in a Bucket. Give a whistle from the top, go down one floor. Shoot two kneecaps, and then jump after he falls to land on his belly. Dead in under 60 seconds.)
4. Valus (the first fight in the game. Just give him two pokes to the leg and climb up his beard. EZPZ.)
5. Phalanx (Best fight in the game. One of the most fun to speedrun. Bonus points if you manage to get Agro up on his back too!)
6. Barba (Beard skip is one of the most ridiculous speedrun launches ever. Worth looking up)
7. Dirge (This is my actual favorite fight. killing him in one cycle can be tricky, but it just requires just a bit of timing)
8. Cenobia (skip the dominos. Just use Wander's magnet hands to climb the last pillars and the rest is cake.)
9. Avion (This guy can kill a run if you fail the attempt, but it's incredibly satisfying jumping from wing to wing during his flight and then plunging into the tail, 10/10)
10. Phaedra (The normal strat using the hobbit holes is a headache. Speedrunners just jump up his legs. After 20 minutes of practice, it's barely even a thing!)
11. Malus (Inconsistent Trench-run aside, the fight is pretty easy once you actually reach him.)
12. Argus (Learning to launch from his knee to his face like a xenomorph facehugger is the highlight of speedrunning this game. That said, it's an easy launch to screw up.)
13. Pelagia (love the fight, but killing this thing in one cycle is incredibly inconsistent)
14. Basaran (This Angry AT-AT Turtle has killed plenty of runs, but he's gotten a bit easier as time has gone on)
15. Gaius (Sword launch is a headache and a half.)
Hardest 16. Hydrus. (Fuck this guy and the all of the runs he has sabotaged. I cannot explain how many headaches he's caused me. Even killing him the normal way is incredibly inconsistent.)

Have you forgotten Cenobia? Once you get knocked down once by this mf, you'll get hit repeatedly without have the chance to get away

I have thalassophobia and after i beat the bird colossi (if i fell or couldnt jump onto the wing id quit out the game because id go under water then reopen it and go back) i thought there wouldn't be more water levels... but i quit when i got to the 7th just because i know theres something under the water and i dont want to find out

Everyone is scared of them but I'm sitting here with countless playthroughs feeling regret from seeing these poor creatures corpses

I've got scopophobia, and I haven't even been able to finish my first playthough of this game because I stopped playing right before Dirge's fight. Cannot will myself to do it. Even so, I still hold this game near and dear to my heart
