Quick correction: Those librams still drop apparently(though the quests related to them have been removed). Still interesting I thought, but not rare probably!

The most treasured item I own is from Vanilla. Back in Vanilla I only had one computer and my daughter and I would take turns playing, but she sent me an in game mail with a shirt she made. So I made a copy of the letter and that shirt and letter are still my most treasured items to this day. :D

There's just something so wonderful about MadSeason's videos. In every one you can just tell how much he loves WoW, which is such a refreshing change from the negativity in the community.

What happens in Maraudon at 3am, stays in Maraudon.

I watch these videos throughout the years, and sometimes a few times a month. The nostalgia of my school years playing this game, never getting to do as much as I wanted. Though that may be the case, Madseason fills a hole in all of us. Showing us the unique parts of the game we may have missed.

Sir I applaud you, may you and your family be healthy 🙏

I didnt start until about 2 years ago, and its neat seeing all the old cool stuff from back then. Thanks Madseason for the vids! People dont realize how hard you work to just show us, and provide actual quality content. Especially ones that cover a variety of things. <3

I think my favorite item that I've held on to for some weird reason over all the years, was the photograph from the Linken's sword of mastery quest. It was a photo of two gnomes standing outside Stormwind with a big smile on their face. For some reason I always liked it, I believe the quest is long gone, but that little photo is still a cool little Easter egg.

Vanilla scrub story: I got the quest to confront onyxia in the throne room, and saw it was a raid. Obviously it must be the onyxia raid.

I put together a PUG raid, shouting "LFM ONYXIA" and quickly assembled about 20 people. Everyone was really confused about the lack of onyxia killing in our ony raid

I have that Competitors Tabard too. and the Spirit of Competition. I also have some mage reagents in my bank (that have become gray) that we dont need anymore. I have a Libram too, some scourge stones, Argent Dawn badges, I got so much stuff hoarded from vanilla.... :P

As someone who started playing WoW back in late februari 2005, this video is so nostalgic!
I've always been a pretty casual player (mostly because of my fulltime dayjob), so even back in Vanilla my guild never raided anything beyond MC, ZG and later AQ20, but I still own or recognize most of the old items you've shown here (that aren't from BWL or beyond). <3

I was still using the olympics tabard 13 years later, I transmogged it to a TCG one, because it was so obscure and looked like trash. Its one of these "really rare, but too weird to explain" type of items that you'll never vendor, but arent really fit to brag about either lol

this made me shed a tear, I miss vanilla so much, probably because the people where so awesome and the game was so rewarding..

What still bothers me to this day, is that I, back in vanilla, had absolutely no clue about end-game stuff, and no idea about Thottbot. I still feel bad about missing out on so many potential epic items to this day. But what could I do, I was 12 when I started...

I remember grinding for Necrotic Stones for days! It's crazy how people were so much more...patient back then? I know I genuinely enjoyed grinding, knowing that my efforts would be paid off by getting some relatively rare and high-end items by the standards back then.
But with the release of all these expansions and constantly resetting the endgame, I began to feel...less motivated to collect all of these rewards.

That said, I can't wait to play and watch you play WoW: Classic!
Cheers!

I had a letter in my DK's inventory for the longest time, and of course now I cannot find it. I had joined up with an old friend to help his guild progress in Dragon Soul for an evening. My main guild had long since cleared it and this was an alt so I did not see any issue with being saved and they were after a DK tank for the run so I decided to join up and help where I could. The guild members spent the majority of the evening yelling, not CAPSLOCK KINGS but literally yelling at each other. There was an abrupt end to the run to which I head people asking WTF happened and I whispered my friend what was going on and he asked for a guild invite. His GM had got so pissed off that he disbanded the guild, in the middle of a run. Now, I had no past experience with the other 23 people in the raid and to my knowledge none of them knew me from any other pug. I recieved an in game mail a few days later from the GM apologizing for wasting my time and lock out, which I had no issues with, and said that the behavior of his guild that night had just crossed the line one too many times. I found this hilarious since they were tame compared to my normal rowdy guild runs and they just needed experience on the fights but they just imploded.

7:10 That final quest was epic!

Love this video. The nostalgia is strong... Have a lot of this stuff laying around, too. :)
