Jane Fonda makes her screen debut playing a beautiful, brainy - and tall! - coed who completely sweeps an innocent basketball player (Anthony Perkins) off his feet. June Ryder (Fonda) is a coed with a clear cut goal - convince All-American hoop star Ray that a bachelor's degree and marriage are not mutually exclusive pursuits. Taking a two-pronged approach, June hits Ray on two fronts. First she wows him her brains in class, then she bowls him over with her bod on the pom-pom team, sending the hapless Ray into a tailspin.

This is only the second film I've seen with Anthony Perkins in, and both of them involve shower curtains (in very different ways!)

People, who cares if Tony was gay or not? That doesn’t mean women did not have the right to still be attracted to him. I don’t think he would have minded at all! Also, he still had a very loving romantic relationship with Berry regardless of possibly being homosexual.

One minor correction on Jane Fonda's height. I wouldn't say she was "tall" at just 5'2". Her slender body could give the illusion she was taller on screen, however. Tony Perkins was tall at 6'2".

Tony said he used to be very anxious around females! I must say, I was a bit surprised upon learning this, for initially it was hard for me to believe that such a beautiful, handsome man such as he would feel that way! I had thought I was one of the only people in the world that experiences anxiety around the opposite sex!
