Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

So far I'm enjoying the EPTU and made my first Jump to Pyro and survived it.

Sharing my perspective, for those who may be wondering if it's worth getting a starter pack. I have spent $100 on the game and have been around for years. I wouldn't call 4.0 incredible, but it is very quickly approaching "I can invite my friends to this" territory. I get 50-60 frames very regularly in less populated stations and over 60 pretty much always while in space (5700x and 6800XT). I got no server errors for the entire 6 hours I played this morning (though people in chat exclusively playing in Pyro seemed to be having issues). There are definitely still glitches, particularly with the missions, but in terms of exploration and just livability this patch is solid and fun.

I ve been playing and I have to say that in this patch NPC are behavinh Much much better than ever and there more than ever. The enemy NPC are really scary now

I like the new changes but I do hope they do something about Polaris owners using their ship once then abandoning it somewhere. That has to be adding dramatically to the entity count and they are everywhere.

Missions seem to sometimes not show where to go, I found out if you crash and come back markers become visible though so there is that lol.

I've been playing EPTU nightly and I agree, the stability and performance improvements are night and day from a week ago, let alone a month ago. I still see lots of grumbling in general chat, so I know there are an abundance of issues, no small number of which could have client side factors (shaders etc.).

I also agree that the biggest hangup at present is broken missions. Many of the Pyro mercenary missions (provide combat support, eliminate target) fail to spawn their objectives on arrival, which I think may be due at least in part to the number of players attempting those missions in the same system.

Only problem I've really run into was the log-in queue and a bit of stutter upon initially loading in but after that, it's been smooth sailing!

IV only been watching for about 8 months maybe longer, but very much enjoy your off grid videos and gameplay and you've convinced me to get a tobii eye tracker so I followed your link and purchased one cheers dude

Pushing out 4.0 right now could do more bad then good. A lot of backers and even new players are expecting it to be better then it currently is in the ptu. Forcing it out when its not in a ready state will only further give this tech demo a bad name.

One issue I'm having is changing primary and secondary interaction favorites, invincible npcs, and the hanger ghost opening preventing me from leaving.

Other than that, it's doing phenomenally.

Not going to lie, the QT bug is a huge game killer. I hope they fix it before PTU release.

I’ve had hauling missions where the delivery has no freight elevator.. It’s running quite well .. but usual .. elevators not spawning in places .. other usual bugs .. But its better than I thought would be
