I tried a *DIY* LASH LIFT from AMAZON

Hi Toni!!

First off I literally love your vids! secondly I just wanted to give you a few friendly pointers as a lash tech myself and been doing this for a very longgg time.

1) rod size is for more dramatic curl not for lash length so using a small rod will make the curl more dramatic.

2) the solutions should only be applied to the root of the lashes not the entire lash because you can fry the ends that way.

3) although the dolly lash brand isn’t a very strong perm you should deffs not perm your lashes back to back because although you have thick and great Greek lashes others that have fine lashes can quite literally burn them off. Lifts should be done 8-12 weeks apart depending on lash cycle.

4) the Y comb tool is to brush the lashes up and to pull them taught on the mould so you can get a dramatic curl. The dramatic curls are made with good technique not so much leaving the product on longer.

I totally love and support the DIY beauty and you did amazing for your first lift just thought I would put some tips in there for ya! Love ya lots! ❤️❤️

Toni I love your videos! I am an esthetician in the us and we don’t recommend lifting your own lashes at home. Each eyelash needs to be individually straightened out on the silicone pad, once the solution is on that’s the shape your lashes will stay in. Also with the solution placement, if you place the solution all over the lashes (tips of lashes) instead of just at the base you can over process the the tips causing them to become squiggly looking and dried out and possibly break off. Also different lashes (fine/course) require different processing times! Sorry if that’s a lot of info! Just please be safe and don’t fry your beautiful lashes♥️♥️ thanks for all the vids I love watching them while stuck at home

All I know is my MIL has my FIL do this to her eyelashes from amazon and he literally does an amazing job everytime! I've never had it done before but I'd definitely consider it!! Btw I love all your videos Toni😍

I have been doing my own for years and have washed my entire face same day and put mascara. Never had any issues. But, that's just me.. Learned from the first time to really make sure every lash is straight up. Stays exactly how you leave it. It is time consuming, so I do both eyes at the same time and am very careful. I really like saving money. I have bought lots that range from $8-15 and all work well! 😊 I do always buy the Dolly lash glue.

I just permed my lashes at home the other day! I did one eye and then a few days later did the other one understanding the specific kit a bit better, so the second one came out great but the first one isn’t quite as lifted, I think I either put too much glue on like the stuff couldn’t get to it or not enough perming solution. I want to re perm it so it’s as good as the other eye but I’m not sure how long I have to wait to do it and if I should keep the stuff on the same amount or what. I also dyed my lashes black which was awesome because the tips of my eyelashes are blonde but I’m not sure how that’ll affect me reperming my lash. Also for next time, like a long time from now ish, when I redo both eyes what size should I use or should I leave the solution on longer, to make them more dramatic, I used medium even tho I felt I “should” use large but I wanted them dramatic, to make them more listed should I use the small or leave the stuff on for like 15 mins instead of 12, the kit said 10-12 so I did 12 because I did this years ago and I found I needed more time. Does anyone have any incite on me for what I should do about my lashes next time and what I should do about my one eye for now?
