Live!!! Shiny Cyndaquil after 11,064 Starters (3688 SRs)!!

YES!! THE JOHTO STARTER TRIO IS COMPLETE!! This was my second longest Johto Starter hunt and my fifth longest hunt overall. It has a Bashful nature (neutral), is male and has a "likes to run" characteristic (max 30 IVs in Speed). Congrats! When I got my shiny Cyndaquil from SRing, I evolved it into a Typhlosion, I kinda regret it a little because the bright purple is a little unsettling. Seeing how gold your Cyndaquil looks in the overworld just now reminded me.

1) Start up your game, and if said game is a DS game, put a rubber band or tape over the L and R buttons.

2) Do whatever is necessary to check whether the Pokemon you are hunting is/are shiny.

3) Press start and select at the same time.

4) ???

5) PROFIT!!!

Remember when you find the pokémon it's based on a chance system. Every time you go up to it you have a very small chance of getting a shiny. For example if you go up to a Dialga it has (not actual percentage) 1% chance of being a shiny then it's likely 1/100 soft resets will end up having a shiny.
