The flip form factor has the potential to be the next big thing. With a larger external screen it now does the same things folding phones do for a more reasonable price and at a more pocketable size. That external screen as a viewfinder for selfies and video with the main camera could end up being something people really want.

I like that you appreciated the hinge upgrade, marques seemed board and unimpressed by it and I usually like both of your reviews, I've been holding off on the fold till they got rid of that gap

They upgrade you to the larger memory for free and also give you an additional 50 dollar discount so you end up paying about 50 dollars for the upgrade. If you are a student, you can get an additional 10% discount and end up paying about $45 for the upgrade.

The z flip looks like a massive step up from the older models, still not really convinced by folding phones though

nice that the flip finally caught up to the MOTOROLA razr 40 in hinges and screen... but sure Dave, no competition

also the last FLIP and FOLD used the Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ that used the same foundry as the gen 2 from TSMC, the battery improvements will be rather minuscule

I think the smaller flip displays can have massive utility in public transit u can confidently scroll and hold your phone and just browse around without flipping open

Just got one myself because the old phone broke. Quick summary: I love it. It's very handy to use the front screen for quick check of messages, emails, and stuff.
