How to Install Kali Linux on Android WITHOUT Root - NetHunter and Termux

No rooting the OS! This tutorial will teach you how to install Kali Linux on Android without rooting your Android Operating System.

ANDROID 12 permissions error: There's a bug on Android 12. Here's the bug and workaround. I hope this helps!

This works for most versions of Android. (please be advised that Android 12 OS does not play nice sometimes).

We will use the Termux application to install Kali Linux on our Android device. Termux is an Android terminal emulator that allows you to run Linux commands. How cool!

The setup is pretty straightforward. You can use some applications to access Kali Linux on your Android phone using NetHunter and the KEX GUI. In this video, I show you how to install and use Kali Linux on an Android phone using the Termux VNC viewer as an app on your phone. This means you can uninstall the apps whenever you want or still have access to your regular Android apps! 😂

Kali NetHunter is now officially available for devices such as the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9, Nexus 10, and OnePlus One, and it comes with well-documented installation instructions and support.

If you don't have any of the above-mentioned devices, don't worry; many custom Kali NetHunter ROMs for popular devices are available, and you can even build one yourself. Refer to the links below for a complete list of available devices and instructions. I installed Kali NetHunter on my Nexus 5x, despite the fact that it is not officially supported. All thanks to XDA, where detailed instructions for installing Kali NetHunter on this device are available. In the following posts, I will provide detailed instructions.

Kali Linux is a Linux distribution based on Debian. It's a free and open platform. It comes with over 600 pre-installed penetration testing tools, which is why ethical hackers and cyber security experts worldwide use it.

Kali NetHunter is available for un-rooted devices (NetHunter Rootless), rooted devices with custom recovery (NetHunter Lite), and rooted devices with custom recovery and a NetHunter-specific kernel (NetHunter).

The core of Kali NetHunter, which is included in all three editions, is made up of the following components:

Kali Linux container containing all of Kali Linux's tools and applications
Hundreds of security apps are available in the Kali NetHunter App Store.
Android app for accessing the Kali NetHunter App Store

Kali NetHunter Desktop Experience (KeX) allows you to run full Kali Linux desktop sessions with screen mirroring via HDMI or wireless screen casting support.
