thanks so much for this informative video there was a big debate about SRM in sourcing strategies or category management but i think this is clear now ? if you have a reference a deep explanation about Supplier relation management activities and how to implemented it on big organization it will be very fruitful to us

To me they are too similar, as in, Category Manager is either in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement Operations, depending of how developed Procurement is within an Organization, and work to support (from a more operational side) a strategic Sourcing Manager. Am I wrong to think that?

Category management will do RFQ RFP or only strategic sourcing will do.
Technical assessment will be done by category management team only or strategic management team also do please suggest
