How to make a Christmas gingerbread house

With a simple gingerbread recipe and a paper template, it's easy to bake and decorate your very own gingerbread house that'll last throughout the festive season. Your time and effort will be rewarded not only by the adorable house you'll have to display, but by the memories you'll make!

Start baking and then assembling the house days before you plan to decorate. This gives the house ample time to set. If you're making it a family project, start out on your own and then get the kids to help with the fun part - decorating at the end!

There's no limit to what you can use to decorate your gingerbread house. Use a variety of sweets, cut-out biscuits and gingerbread men, icing sugar for snow, cinnamon sticks for wood... the only limit is your imagination!

what light in the house? I like to use lights as those for a tree (not warm) and make the Windows with some crushed cristall Bonbons(5 min for end of baking time). lol I can smell gingerbread ^^

I saw a recipe on the Tesco site which left out the eggs from the gingerbread dough....but didnt make any comment about it; but here you don't specify what type of gingerbread dough, strong or soft? I would think it would make a difference as the cookie dough may break easier than the recipe specifically formulated for making a g/b house. thanks. Prefer a video where there is someone speaking/explaining than just picture and music.
