Would you live in a state prioritizing longevity?

Would you live somewhere if the central mission of the state is to “make death optional”? Vitalia is a movement to start a longevity network society—a multi-jurisdiction society built around the idea that “life is good, death is bad”. The movement aims to create a new kind of society that is focused on extending human lifespan and improving the quality of life for everyone.

I would love to live in a community of like-minded individuals who value health and technology as much as I do.

Most definitely. To be able to live up to 200 years, Healthy and functioning at a much younger level is alright with me. Great episode.

I moved off grid 21 years ago.
specifically to practice life extension.
compared to my city dwelling peers, i have lived better and have less damage.
life extension makes you a RUGGED INDIVIDUAL.

interesting concept. Reminds me to ideas from Erich Fromm. Pounding on the concept of Network is always an interesting aspect.... but I wanna see that they are not naive. Yet network is not all. if you address longevity in a small quasi state you have to be clear what happens if someone gets seriously sick. And since it is a quasi state, what is its theory behind? parasiting on all other "normal" and left-behind societies? What are the contributions returned to the outside?

Ive noticed a lot of super downer pessimists on twitter who immediately negate this idea right off the bat.

@5:50 selecting for ethical people. Key point, as there's no shortage of people optimizing systems for profit at expense of everything else that matters much more. Hopefully predatory forms of capitalism can be kept out. Very true, though, that US form of drug development is broken and we need a new way.

Please, have a talk with Dr Jack Kruse, you will find out a lot of the knowledge you seek about longevity.
