Nirvana - In Bloom (In an In Utero Kind of Way)

Показать описание
Here's the next part in the series of mixing experiments, an attempt to make "In Bloom" sound like as if it was released on "In Utero".
"In Utero" is my favorite album by Nirvana, music- and sound-wise. I've always been fond of the rough and honest nature of that album. An opinion that wasn't really shared by mainstream music listeners and even their own label and management.
There was always this thought in my head, what if the tracks on "Nevermind" were recorded and mixed in the same way as on "In Utero", and of course, vice versa.
Being an audio engineer for post production myself, I attempted to recreate the sound of each individual track, stripping down parts I felt weren't needed and recreating the roomy feel "In Utero" is known for.
Unfortunately the available vocal stems for "In Bloom" only feature the already double-tracked and effect-processed vocals.
Here's the result, tell me what you think, I appreciate any feedback!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to upload the entire remix due to Youtube's/UMG's policies.
I'm not intending to break copyright laws, this is just an experiment.
