The extra years of OS, and security updates have value. At least to me. And I ordered my Pixel 8 pre-release, which resulted in my receiving the latest Pixel buds pro, at no cost.

Well I got a 2 weeks old pixel 8 at 54k… Crazy good deal … Absolute jackpot I believe… Its an amazing phone at that price.. But anything more I wouldn’t spend on it, I agree…

Why would I listen to someone whos wearing an apple product talking down on a google product?

stop complaining about the chip. Stupid benchmarks. I use the phone for over 1 month and it is a beast. I never play games, apps open fast, pics are processed quick. Battery is very stable and a bit better then the 7

So let me get this straight. You recommend people to buy an iphone 15 for 80k with it 60hz display and a notch change when compared to 2 years older iphone 13, but wont recommend people to buy pixel 8 at 76k, which has improved cameras, mind blowing AI features, ultra improved screen, solved almost all negatives when compared to 1year older pixel 7??
A little less bias and more objective review will do your channel a lot good…

Cant pay the premium price if there are key compromises in basic things like battery, hearing, network quality etc. I hope in a year or two we l get well rounded pixel flagships.

Definitely agree based on region. In some regions the Pixel does not add much benefit since some features do not exist in all areas (car crash detection, various AI features, etc). Also, different regions have different discounts. In the US I got the 8 Pro with a free Pixel Watch 2 worth about $350 so if that is important to you, might be worth the deal as well as various trade in options based on region. The Google One subscription in the US also gives you 10% back so I got $150 back with my phone and accessories I purchased.

I agree with the over priced stuff but no other manufacturer will/can implement Pixel level AI with even with SD8gen3. And 99% of people don't even play games on their Flagship iphones or Samsung's tbh.
The performance that Tensor G3 offers is more than enough for 99% of users especially along with 7 years of updates. One can easily run SD 865 even today with no issues whatsoever.

Unless you're into heavy gaming, Pixel 8 is indeed a great buy especially in sales. Btw, there are much better places in Mumbai than what you showed xd.
Cheers 🥂

Totally agree with the hypothetical price level. I waited and Google JP discounted the price to around 50k INR (88-90k JPY) and increased the amount of rebate for Pixel 5, Pixel 6, and Pixel 7.

❤❤🎉🎉🎉 it's always very happy to watch your review... You are so tech geek, yet the level of beauty she bring with you... Added a sweet 😊. I'm still learning to talk happily and more natural on camera. I envy your on camera charms ❤❤. Stay healthy, be happy. Great observation, Google should team up with Snapdragon chip.

Hi pratima, I i see you really care abour gaming performance on mobile phones... I dont know if that's an indian thing or whatever but most people in other countries game on either pc or console, or a portable device like a switch, steamdeck or ally. Pixel is all about the smooth stock Android experience with the best camera in the mobile space. Also in the future Google will undoubtedly optimise the Tensor G3 via software updates just like they did with the G2. Not many companies make compact flagships these days, and I absolutely support Google for keeping theirs under 6.5 inches. I am so tired of cheap 6.7+ Chinese behemoths.

6:39 The problem is that the 8 Gen 3 was announced 3 weeks too late for Google and also Google and Samsung have some sort of agreement. They use Samsung displays, Samsung chipsets and Samsung cameras. I would even go as far as to say the G on the back might as well stand for Galaxy.

"I covered almost everything about the Google Pixel 8"

Didn't even touch the AI part.

So you think Google isn't aware of the shortcomings of Tensor? They are not going with the performance part. Their focus is only on AI which has driven Qualcomm to update 8Gen3 architecture to support AI capabilities. No other phone is anywhere close to Pixel for AI computation and it will increase massively in the next phones.

Google is going the Apple way by having complete control over hardware and software by developing a chip of their own. They could've used the Snapdragon chip and their sales would've been massive but then what would be the difference between them and every other Android smartphone in the market?

I hope you are aware that Google Tensor G5 onwards all their processors will be fabricated by TSMC. They will ditch Samsung's fabrication and this is a known fact yet, almost NO tech youtubers share this information.

Note: I am using the 6A despite being aware of the shortcomings of Tensor. Because for me, software and user experience is most important and no other Android phone delivers a better experience than Pixel. Yes, I agree it's not the best phone for performance but my usage isn't about performance but rather having a smooth user experience with the device.

Thanks for the review ... yeah at that price in India I totally agree it's way over priced ... Here in the States we were Getting $450 and free Pixel buds pro with a trade in on the pixel 7 if we ordered during the pre-order time and so it made it a lot easier to buy it at the $700 price. I sold the pro buds for $ 110 and so I really got $560 off a $700 phone .

All that being said ad after using the Pixel 8 for a while I would say it is not worth upgrading from the Pixel 7 to the 8 and yes the screen is brighter and it's 120 vs the 90hz and it's easier to hold, but the day to day feel is almost the same as the 7 . For me with the $140 maybe it was worth it getting a new phone, but even with that low price I'm not really sure.
