To get started, I do want to go over the different Minecraft mod loaders for 1.21.3. There are three mod loaders worth mentioning - Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge. The mod loader you choose is completely up to you, but keep in mind that Forge mods will not work with Fabric or NeoForge and vise-versa. You must be using mods for the mod loader you choose and Minecraft 1.21.3 in order for them to work.

In this video, we are going to be using the Forge Mod Loader, but there are guides for Fabric and NeoForge linked in the description above.

You will need to download the Forge mod loader for 1.21.3. There is a link in the description above to download Forge. That will take you to our text guide for getting Forge. On that page, click on the “Download Forge” button, and you will go to the Forge download page. Here, click 1.21 and select 1.21.3 in the left-hand sidebar. Then, click on “Installer” under Download Latest. You will be taken to a page where you need to wait about 10 seconds then click “Skip Ad” in the top right. Forge 1.21.3 should then start downloading!

From there, we move on to how to install Forge for Minecraft mods 1.21.3. To install Forge, open the Forge installer with Java. Then, click “Install Client” and click “Okay”. Forge 1.21.3 will then install. Now, we can move on how to download mods in Minecraft 1.21.3.

There are two main places to download Minecraft mods from, and those are CurseForge and Modrinth. Both of these allow you to filter for the mod loader you want and the Minecraft version you want ensuring that no matter what your Minecraft mods will be compatible with your mod loader.

After you have your Minecraft 1.21.3 mods downloaded, we can move on to how to install mods in Minecraft 1.21.3. This is actually super easy now that you have Forge installed. Open up Minecraft 1.21.3 with your Forge installation. Then, from the main menu, click on “mods” and click the “Mods Folder” butotn in the bottom left. Your Minecraft mods folder will open. Move any 1.21.3 Minecraft mods you want to play into this mods folder.

Now, all you need to do to get your Minecraft mods working is restart Minecraft making sure you are playing with Forge. You must play Minecraft with Forge in order to play with your Minecraft 1.21.3 mods.

With your mods installed, you can start enjoying them in game. Generally, it is important to keep mods after installing them if they add blocks to the game. If you remove a Minecraft mod that has added something, it can corrupt your world or cause issues, so try to keep mods after adding them.

Hey, so I am new to Minecraft in PC gaming in general (I mean I've played it before, but this is something I have got to get through it 'fully')
-Like if I have an OS drive and a second drive, do I download the installation on the second drive, does that also include other game launchers, , maps, packs, etc. Or do the installation onto the OS and then the library on the second drive, how it would work?
