My Daughter-in-law is an RN. She went to Saudi Arabia first and then came to the US. I'm glad she arrived here and married my son. I now have 2 beautiful grandsons. It worked out for us.

My heart goes out to the OFWs. It's such a large world when you're on your own.
And going into these cultures requires such bravery. Not even going to the Gulf States but just going to somewhere presumably safer like South Korea is a daunting thought.

And as you said, dear Pea, the Philippines is 'sitting' on pure gold: its Human Ressource!

Great My GF is an OFW in Taiwan now. She has been to Saudi and Dubai. She was very fortunate in her jobs, but has told me some stories that were horrible. The amount of SA in Saudi is very high, and most of the perps do not get punished. The only real problem she had was her last employer there did not want her to leave and tried to with hold her passport, but she threatened to call the police after calling her agency. She got her passport and was able to leave. In Taiwan, the agency holds her passport, and when she has been able to go on vacation, they get it to her without problems. She has been wise with her money, she had her house built and has supported her children the whole time as an OFW. Thank you for the video and bringing the plight of OFW's to light.

OFWs are true saints. They leave their families to help get a better life. Sometimes they get it, other times they walk into a bad situation. But that depends on what country they work in and for whom. Hopefully, the Philippines can grow to the potential they have in the country and OFWs will not be needed as much. But I'll still take a Filipina nurse any day! Great job Ms Pea, see you in 3 days (on YouTube of course).

Thank you Pea for shining a light on this dark business. Also a big thank you to Jane for bringing up this trauma of her past. She is such a strong woman with strong moral compass and character. She is a true role model for women.

I saw this video pop up in my que and I had to ask myself, 'Is it Friday already?' This is an eye opening interview. I wonder if Filipinos will respect those that go abroad to work more.

13:16 "If you're a tourist"... if I'm a tourist I don't care about malls, there are plenty of them in America where I came from. I just want stores that have basic needs even if it's the public market. I love the Philippines because it is a beautiful country and especially because it has the nicest people I've ever met.

Yes it is not easy. So if youre a good girl just marry a good guy who appreciates you. Don't chase money or internet fame. If you're a young virtous single pinay there are lots of good guys out there

Throughout my time in the Philippines, I have heard countless stories and have read about the plight of OFWs! It is truly an injustice and governments just seem to turn a blind eye to it all. Those things have been going on for years and continue to do so even as I type this. I wish there was a way to help these people. I cannot wait for Part 2, Good Morning, Pea.

On many of the cruises we have been on have many Filipino crew. Always our favorite crew members.

I'm even happier after hearing this that my jowa agreed to remain home with a little support from me. And I'll get to see her sooner.
