I hate that stabilization bug we saw happen. It’s not just a Blackmagic bug, it does it on other third party camera apps as well. Only seems to happen on lenses other than the 1x and happens on my 16 pro max and my wife’s 16 pro. I tested it in filmic pro and it was also happening there with the .5x and 5x lens. Cinematic stabilization definitely seems to make it occur less, but still happens especially when moving for some reason. Definitely super annoying.

As always, the review is on top. I'm waiting for the Blackmagic engineers to give me the opportunity to shoot at low shutter speed. This is the function that videocameras have and it allows you to shoot creative shots with an interval delay, creating smudges from trails It's going to be great.

The DockKit accessory support is actually a great feature if you have something like the Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand. This would let you automatically track and follow a subject with the stand while using the Black Magic app

Good update. Could you demo the app in horizontal rather than vertical. Most of us use horizontal for video & stills. IMO

2:10 the zoom feature of the BM Camera App have all time worked that way, only based on the lens selected, and not across lenses. So not something new with that update

The app is completely useless for iPhone 16 users due to the stability bugs on all lenses other than the 1x. Plenty of other apps don’t have this issue so its really frustrating to see them take this long to bring out an update and not fix a huge bug like this.

I would love to see the ability to pick two focus points and a speed, then have a press rack focus between the points.

Make sure your SSD's have good SUSTAINED write speeds. Maximum speed means nothing if you're recording 4K120 for more than a few seconds

Really wish that there was an option that enabled zooming between cameras in this app. With what I do, it's the only thing keeping me from using it all the time.

Biggest Bug with Blackmagic app is uneven White clipping point for Apple LOG when using manual ISO/SS settings to expose the scene. In Auto exposure mode white point seems to be at 95 IRE all times but for manual ISO/SS settings it varies from 70-80 IRE for lower base ISO which makes the False Colour and RGB Traffic clipping lights unusable.
Please Raise this issue to Black Magic if possible so that we can get this fixed as soon as possible. If this is a bug from Apple's side, then BM team can inform them to improve n next generations of iPhone.

Dockkit is how insta360 flow pro gimbal works. iPhone native AI tracking for any 3rd party apps.
