Open the properties menu, go to the compatibility tab and run the program in compatibility mode for windows 7… or windows 8 or XP or Vista. Which ever one you have.

Yah Idk im getting the same thing, trying to figure out whats going on. I reinstalled re;Birth and it did not go away, I moved the saves and no luck. I will let you know if I fix it somehow.

i currently have no in game sound only in the intro no menu or battle music any solution to this?

can u explain about installing the KCP? does cccp = klite mega codec? i've already uninstalled the klite codec and install KCP, did everything u mentioned in KCP setting, still crash after opening video, try changed compatibility to XP, still the same, i installed the reloaded version though, not buy on steam :v

steam patched the game and still have this startup crash issue

OK I GOT IT TO WORK, try restarting steam it worked for me! If not the only thing I can suggest is to restart your computer
