It Wasn’t Fake News

I'm not ashamed Paul said I'm not ashamed of the gospel it's the power of God for the salvation of everyone - back then, Middle Ages, current history - and I do believe tomorrow as well the future good news true news the cynic cries out, "there is no God nor salvation" and Paul asserts and is unashamed to say it "no, no actually he is there and and we have hope" and I think that's the boldest thing that a Christian can say and I know that when we do that we draw a target on ourselves but it needs to be said interesting and some of you have been a part of we've we've had a study that we started here on Tuesday explore God you can see one of the posters over there and it's it's addressing again some of these big questions that everybody has is there a God does he care what about the this this this guilt and shame that have carried and why is there evil and what's in the future there is a hope there is good news it's the gospel look at verse 17 the next verse says "for in the gospel the righteousness from God is revealed" huh you know what this what took place was verifiable you can go back there was no chance that this was fake news actually you probably know a lot of the passages that John chapter 1 verse 14 one of the Jesus's closest friends hey this says "the word became flesh and dwelt among us" and what "we saw his glory" and it was his life was so astonishing John equated him with who says "glory is the only begotten Son of God" whoa nobody has ever lived the way this this person lived nobody ever did this thing the thing that that this man has done healing giving sight to the blind and those that were were handicapped being able to stand and walk and and leap and praise nobody's ever done these kind of things before they caught the attention of the religious elite it caught the attention of the masses and the story is told again and again and again and John wrote it down it says "no no we we have we saw his glory the only Son of God who came from the father full of grace and truth" the gospel is verifiable John also wrote in in one of his smaller letters it says this is first John he says "yeah we have we have heard we saw with our eyes and we looked at it and our and our hands touched" and what was he speaking about he's speaking about Jesus that after he was raised from the dead "our hands have touched" remember the one guy who said "I'm not gonna believe unless I put my finger in -" right and he did Wow Wow verifiable observable this is good news and this is true news and Paul is unashamed about it
