Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition - What We know!

So, remember the whole conversation about a Galaxy Fold that can finally compete with the designs we've seen from Chinese manufacturers? Well, let's just say we've got some possible good and bad news. For the last couple of weeks we've seen some subtle hints that Samsung is working on yet another product launch that could finally address how competition is owning foldable design. At first we thought we'd get some sort of teaser at Galaxy Unpacked, if not a product, but that didn't happen. Reports claim it'll still happen this year, but under an interesting launch approach.

I was a Fold 2 user up until 4 days ago when I bought a Fold 6 and the differences between the two is astounding. There's only two things that I wish it had, faster wired and wireless charging and expandable storage. Other than those, it's a supreme bit of tech. The customization and software blows the competition out the water, as does the "peace of mind" that comes with owning a Samsung device. No matter what, I know there's an official Samsung service store near me and they can order any part.

I couldn't care less about it getting thinner than it is. We've already seen the significant thermal throttling that results from being so thin with the Magic V3, losing around 20% of the chip's performance because the heat has nowhere to go.

Arguing over 2mm just because "it's thinner!" without contemplating the implications is peak YouTube "journalism." Short-sighted and headline-chasing rather than thoughtful and substantial.

I love the form factor of my Z Fold 5. If you want a Chinese-style foldable, *buy a Chinese-style foldable!* Having options with unique selling points is a *good* thing. Having a single form factor dominate a segment is a *bad* thing.

There's no reason at all (other than greed) not to place a working micro sd slot (for ex. offline backups, media, etc...), now that micro sd go up to 2TB and are quite fast.

They are "owning" designs but failing durability. Samsung still doing better than the competition.

Cmon using snapdraong that's 6 month is unattractive but iPhone using a year old chip is ok.... Not saying it's OK but call apple for it too...

I’m curious, I was just on the Samsung website and the fold 6 1tb is in silver shadow only. No other colors as at all for 1tb. Hmm is that a hint that something is coming? Plus they are giving $300 of the 512 go and 256gb.

I don't want a thinner fold. I want a built in S-Pen, much better camera, and better battery life. Call it Galaxy Fold Pro and be surprised with how well it will sell. I have a Fold 4 and the Fold 5 or 6 give me absolutely no reason to upgrade. It's astounding how useful the S Pen is and yet they keep not including it. Tuck it in like they did with the Note phones.

HA! JAMIE! I still Have my Exclusive Gray Z Fold5 also! I'll NEVER get rid of it! I LOVE that Phone! I also have the Silver Shadow Z Fold6 & I'LL NEVER GET RID OF THAT PHONE EITHER!!!

The reason I have yet to get a fold is the software. Cant open 3 apps side by side like One Plus, and no davicni Resolve on a what is basically a tablet.
