London's Hero 2013 Final Animation

We're beyond pleased to share an animation project that we just completed titled London's Hero. In collaboration with teams below, we facilitated the studios working in an exquisite-corpse format to tell the story of London's newest superhero. All animation sessions from Sept 26-Oct 15 were held at ZED, HP's pop-up studio for creatives.

The Teams:
Baby - Blackmeal - Mael Francois & Thomas Lecomte
Child - Mummu - Sam Atkin & Karl Hammond
Teen - Fred & Eric - Maggie Rogers & Lee Cooper
Young Adult - Animade - Ed Barrett & Tom Judd
Midlife - Territory - Marti Romances & Nik Hill
Senior - Golden Wolf - Ewen Stenhouse & Stefan Falconer

Each team worked sequentially, animating a ten-second portion representing a different life stage - baby, child, teen, adult, midlife, senior - and stitching each clip together. Collaborators were only allowed to see the last 30 frames of the previous team's work.

All animators used HP's Z820 workstations mixed with endless coffee & beer. It's a quick vid, so keep an eye out for some subtle humor and if you get a sec, we'd love to hear what you think.
