Bruce Lee | The 5 Ways Of Attack
Показать описание
Bruce Lee was the founder of Jeet Kune Do, a hybrid martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines that is often credited with paving the way for modern mixed martial arts (MMA).
No matter which Martial Art you train there are only 5 ways for you to attack or be attacked.
When on the offence you should be constantly mixing up these methods to
give you the greatest percentages for success as each one is a new dimension for your opponent to deal with.
Bruce Lee's 5 Ways Of Attack are:
1 - Simple Angular Attack or Simple Direct Attack (SDA or SAA)
2 - Attack By Combination (ABC)
3 - Progressive Indirect Attack (PIA)
4 - Immobilization Attacks (IA)
5 - Attack By Drawing (ABD)
A single direct /angled attack is a single fast strike when you can
see a clear opening.
Attack by combination is the method of striking with two or more
shots to build up a combination.
Attack by faking is the idea of making your opponent think one attack is coming and switching into a different technique.
Attack by trapping is where you immobilise a part of their body for a split second allowing you to land your strike.
Attack by drawing is where you leave an opening for your opponent, drawing them in to throw a specific move and then countering the move which they throw.
You should naturally be flowing between these 5 ways of attack constantly and this principle, along with all the others, can be applied to any style of fighting at any time during a fight.
This video is 1 key principle taken from the "50 Key Principles For MMA Success" course which can be found here:
