Here I show you the tools that you will need for waterproofing or at least making a lot more water repellant to a convertible car top . The same principles will apply if you are doing some patio furniture or some canvas on a watercraft . 303 Fabric Guard is an amazing product , even after 2 1/2 years that have gone by when I did this top, I still had decent water resistance although on my last wash I could tell that the water was starting to soak into the canvas a bit. That told me it's time for a new application . You do want to take precautions to not breathe in the vapors, be sure and protect your eyes and skin . That's a good idea with that paint brush. Same with the lint rollers. I'm treating a new canvas tent and everybody likes to rave about how waterproof they are but I treat every tent I get. This one will be no exception. I hate water getting in a tent. I think I'm gonna order some lint rollers because that will help to make sure there's nothing on it. Great tips, thank you!

Edited to add: What do you think about using an all plastic oral syringe to directly drip it into seams?

My top was waterproof I cleaned it with 303 and applied 303 and my top is no longer waterproof nearly an entire bottle I'm not saying it doesn't work I'm just saying it did not work for me in my experience it was glorified armor All
