For the ones I don’t know:mananaggal is an ancient monster in the morning. It looks like a beautiful girl, but in the night it turned into a horrible creature ripped off its leg for the week apart to kill one or probably try to you need to flames or and to keep it from out your house. You need to put on cooked right around your house and on top of your roof so this was for the ones I don’t know.

It’s a mannanagol and it is a flying upper body with bat-like wings. It feasts on pregnant mothers but if you want to kill it, a bit like a vampire, you’d want to sprinkle garlic and salt in its legs.

For those who don't know: The manananggal is a fearsome creature from Filipino folklore, often described as a bloodthirsty, vampire-like being capable of separating its upper body from its lower half. By night, it transforms into a monstrous figure with large, bat-like wings, sharp claws, and an elongated tongue, which it uses to suck the blood of its victims—particularly pregnant women and their unborn children.
During the day, the manananggal appears as an ordinary human, often a beautiful woman, blending into society without suspicion. However, as night falls, she finds a secluded place to undergo her gruesome transformation. Her torso sprouts wings, her fingernails elongate into claws, and her body splits in half at the waist, leaving her lower half standing lifeless while her upper body takes flight in search of prey.
Her most common targets are sleeping pregnant women, whom she preys upon by perching on rooftops and extending her long, hollow tongue through open windows or cracks in the roof to drain the fetus from the mother’s womb. Some stories also describe her feeding on the hearts or livers of her victims.
Despite her terrifying abilities, the manananggal has weaknesses. The key to killing her lies in her lower half—if salt, garlic, vinegar, or ash is spread on it while she is away hunting, she will be unable to reattach her body before sunrise, causing her to wither and die. Holy objects, prayers, and traditional Filipino talismans (anting-anting) are also believed to ward her off.
The legend of the manananggal remains one of the most enduring myths in Philippine folklore, with many rural communities still sharing stories of sightings and warnings, especially for pregnant women. It is often used in horror films and ghost stories to instill fear, reinforcing the belief that one should always be cautious of the darkness and the unknown.

For those who doesn't know: A Manananggal is a mythical Filipino creature, a type of Aswang (a shapeshifting, evil spirit), that can detach its upper torso from its lower half. At night, it sprouts wings and flies off in search of prey, often targeting pregnant women to consume fetuses.
