How To Fix Windows 10 FPS Drop Fix for Gaming.

Fix Game Stuttering with FPS drops in Windows 10
Microsoft has pushed hard for Gaming on Windows 10 PCs. Every update has got something for gamers, but it’s not without hiccups and issues around gaming. One of the major problems reported by users is Game Stuttering with FPS drops for games they play. The problem is partly with drivers, partly with updates that rollout to Windows 10, especially the Windows 10 1803 update that came through. In this guide, we are talking about tips to fix Game Stuttering with FPS drops in Windows 10.

What is Game Stuttering with FPS Drops
It’s rendering issue where content on your screen changes all of a sudden. This can happen for many reasons, but, if the GPU takes longer to render a frame than expected, it might even skip the frame or result in lag. This is easily noticeable during multiplayer games. You would see actions happening much later after you did it using a controller or mouse. Many a timesIf a driver takes very long to prepare a frame for the GPU, which means you will see everything delayed.

FPS or Frames per Second is a result of stuttering. So for example, 60 FPS means 60 frames per second. It is the frequency (rate) at which consecutive images called frames to appear on a display. If you have fast moving figure, which happens in the games, a higher FPS offers a better experience.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).

I thought I was gonna have to get used to only getting smooth FPS in window mode. Literally, was getting 20ish FPS in full-screen and 60+ in window. Now, 60+ in full-screen. You rock! Thank you so much for this!

OMG TYSM. I had fps drops every 30 seconds and any game I played. This was going on for about 2 weeks and it was super frustrating. I looked through like 30 tutorials and I still couldn't find one that actually worked. But when i stumbled across this video, you solved my problem for me. I was a bit sketch about all of he steps this took, but when I restarted my laptop and loaded a game for 2 minutes, it was super smooth and I was running my normal/average 200 - 300 fps! Again, tysm for helping me, you have earned a like and new sub :)

OMG. instantly subbed to you, my man. Destiny 2 and everything is and I mean this, butter smooth now. before, even when I was getting 120+ fps, it was still choppy. Although I did realize that game bar is no longer active, I don't care. totally worth the trade.

This method never works for me. My PC is fine, no overheating, no physical damage, etc. But somehow GPU usage is high and FPS drops 🤦‍♂️ it was fine a few months ago. I don't understand, I shouldn't have to adjust anything as my specs are already capable of 4k/8k gaming. CPU 5950x, GPU 3090 Ti, Motherboard Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, SSD EVO 970, PSU Corsair HX1200, TPM Asus TPM-M R 2.0. This happened after I switched to Display Port and started streaming through OBS, all of sudden everything got messed up. Now I'm back to HDMI but FPS still dropping like crazy. I don't get it, I've tried everything 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️😴
