What The Hell Happened To EVOLVE?

Turn back the clock to early 2015, and you'll find plenty of buzz around an upcoming game called Evolve. Developed by Turtle Rock Studio, the developers of the original Left 4 Dead, Evolve was being billed as The Next Big Thing in multiplayer games back before launch, and pre-launch coverage and impressions suggested that it would live up to that billing.

A unique idea, a cool setting, and a fascinating gameplay hook- it seemed like it had everything going for it. And sure enough, for a short time after the game's launch, it was enjoying all the success that so many had predicted it would.

I personally was never good enough in my mind to ever consider playing Evolve but I loved watching people play it. It was very entertaining to me.

The unthinkable had happened, Stage 2 is getting peer to peer servers. The legacy ones were down for a month and we asked for them to be fixed, didn't expect to see stage 2 back also.

I remember when trying to find matches became incredibly near impossible, I had to grind out the rest of the normal unlockable hunters and monsters by playing against bots in the arena playlist non stop for what felt like a month

Dude I used to play this. I had a hell of a time, it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of shit that made it unique and fun to play but it's honestly really sad that it died out

This game was one of the best but the studio missed so much, we could have insane e-sport, streaming etc. This game can have a futur, i need a reboot. I imagine a huuuuge world, maybe open in which you can hunt, create bases from loot etc, a bit like hunt showdown but bigger with more content. I also would like to see the original gameplay back.

I enjoyed playing it the first several months it was out. I pretty much said No thanks when it came to the microtransactions except for maybe one medic, and it didn't bother me choosing from the base characters. It was just that the the community was absolutely dead very quickly.

Being the monster was extremely fun. I did want to see more game modes, maps etc. logged in one day and it was extremely difficult to even find one match! RIP Evolve

Sadly I started playing this game when it died but I really do hope they make a sequel to it. It has so much potential

Actually you can still play Evolve and many people still do. It just isn’t getting new content currently is all.

Hope it gets picked back up with a less greedy model. I feel it will considering how much they invested into it.

The game is having major issues with peer to peer connection, everyone on all platforms can't connect to play multiplayer, we are in mass worry for the games survival. Please voice this if anyone can, many of us still love and care for this game. This has been happening all week.
