From the 17 year old kid to the 2 times WDC in 7 years. He's really something else, always driving his car on the limits. Max Verstappen has already become one of the greatest drivers in F1 history.

I think an underrated part about max was the fact he was able to pick up at least one win in each year of mercs dominance

Max had such a short junior career but the fact that gets overlooked is that he is the best karter of all time by some margin.I mean the stats are so impressive which make marko's decision look less daring.

It's not about the numbers it's all about his level of greatness when driving a car. I think this level of pure talent and mindset we haven't seen since Senna.

Follower F1 since 92. Stopped watching during the Merc dominance. Max brought me back. Not because I was a fan. Because he made it exciting again. He rocked the world of F1. Awakened and reignited of you will.

as a small kid, about 3 or 4 years old I used to watch f1 with my dad and it was the Schumi-Ferrari era, I cannot remember anyone being as aggressive and bold in their moves as Michael was when he was winning his world titles, and that's not taking anything away from the greats that came after him (alonso, seb, lewis...). That is, however, until a young dutch boy came along and you knew he was something special. It is so great to have see him grow in the sport over the last few years, getting more mature with his driving but never once loosing his edge

He also saved the commercial faith of F1 (almost) on his own; the Mercedes dominance was so strong and races so boring, many races had just become a procession from begin till end, they couldn't even sell > 50% of the tickets at some GPs and let's not forget the FIA introduced 3 or 4 race-changes just because of Max thinking / doing things out of the box... another trait of legends. Let's hope we can enjoy his actions for many more years !

I would agree his driving was immature when he joined F1. But he's 17 only. If I give a random 17yo kid an F1 car he'd probably crash entering the first corner. It's just incredible to see his growth throughout the years. And what a deserving champ in 2021!
