NOBODY gives free stuff worth THIS much money without getting something in exchange.

The whole Question Time audience criticised Keir Stammer not only on his gifts but also on cutting pensioners' winter allowance .Lucy Powell was a disaster while trying to justify all this.

Not too surprising that Lucy Powell jumped to Starmer's defence, I understand she is right behind him as number two in the league of scroungers.

The Post Office has always had a policy of not accepting gifts.
Parliament needs to make a rule, no gifts at all. It´s like asking a kid to give up his pocket money though, they will never change.
Simple, no nonsense. No form filling, no questions about gifts. Just no gifts, money, bills paid, decorations paid for, clothes paid for, nothing at all.

Nobody would hand over gifts to him unless they were confident that they would get something in return. This is a classic case of corruption.

Any PM with half a shred of common sense and sense of duty, should not have accepted any 'gift' whatsoever. Once you do that, you open the floodgates of being accused of corruption-which is exactly what he has done.
I have nothing but contempt for the man.

Change the rules to no sitting PM and all the MPs from WM and the National assemblies can't not accept personal and party gifts.

Its not just about transparency, its about what the public expect from politicians and whether the average person may perceive them to be corrupt. The rules need to be tightened, This man and his party are dishonest with the public and they can no longer be trusted.

It is a Crime to accept Bribes, sorry "Gifts" to buy favour and the giver and receiver are equally at Fault. These cannot be described as small tokens and should never have been accepted, declared or not.

Shere greed from the Oliver Cromwell tribute act! What a grifter. He has no shame. Lord and Lady Starmer ( as they are soon to become) should disappear from public view.

He has not received any gifts at all. Yes he has received a 'permanent loan' of such things as money, clothing, spectacles, concert and football tickets. Holiday accommodation has only ever been accepted on the understanding that he minds the house flies, ants and spiders whilst the owners are away.

Clearly he doesn’t have an ounce of decency to say “no” for freebies, pure greed.

Strange? Parents that give more than £3, 000 to there children in one year, the rest of that sum then may have to be taken into account and declared as inheritance for Inheritance Tax purposes?

Yet Starmer receives gifts of well over £100, 000 at a time?
