What's your #1 takeaway after week 2??

Our entire strength, conditioning, and nutrition staff needs a raise. The most improved aspect of this team is each individual’s fitness. I know that Dylan pulls the field differently and the backs pull the opposing defense differently, but our lines are breaking other teams lines better than I’ve seen in 8-10 years. That and the team not being that much different in personal but Colorado supposed to be better makes me feel like the number one difference is what Corey Campbell and staff did to the team in the offseason and I love it.

My son-in-law and I are driving from Birmingham, AL to Columbus for the Ohio State game. He's an Auburn grad but he is still pumped about seeing Nebraska play in one of the great cathedrals of college football. Let's hope that we're 9-0 when we get there. If it's a noon game, we are driving three hours after the game to catch the Auburn-KY game in Lexington. With any luck it could be an insane day of football.

Hey be nice to Colt McCoy. That was very brave of him to come back to Lincoln and face his fear of scarlet and cream 🤣

Been a husker fan all my life never stepped foot in Nebraska. Thanks for talking about your experience finding a ticket and sounds like a couple of decent places to hang too.
I am super excited to have something to say!

Couple points I want to make:

1. Nebraska is 100% improved and I believe will make a bowl this year. However, I'm not quite sold on being a B10 contender yet. CU does not seem like a good team at all and they might not win more than 4 games this year. I think a few solid wins in our next 3 or so games will really go a long way in establishing ourselves as a legit contender. Especially against Illinois and Indiana, who looked improved.

2. Colt McCoy had a rough night but I kind of feel for the guy. He seemed nervous and unprepared and hopefully he gets better with more experience. Although it was very annoying listening to him salivating over Shedeur constantly. But, I wonder how much of that was him, or the network telling him to do that?

3. I really hope they aren't overlooking UNI. They have pushed FBS teams in the past and it seems like they have a pretty good running back and some other decent players. Also, there have been some FBS teams that were nearly or were upset by FCS teams already this season. Nebraska is 1000% more talented, but they cannot afford to overlook any opponents this early in the season.

4. I think the future is very bright with all the talented young players we have. Dylan and Jacory are already looking like studs, and Princewill might be the best defensive players in the country by the time his career is over here. Jaylen Lloyd and Malachi Colemen will both be great too. I hope we get Jaylen more involved this season and I hope Malachi gets healthy so he can ball out next season and play to his potential. There are many more on the team but those guys have stood out the most to me so far this year and last.

my takeaway is just the first but most important step on the path back to the respect we spent over a hundred years building --- stay healthy and GO BIG RED

I still believe the refs called all those bs calls in the 2nd half. They were trying to get Colorado back into it or making it not look so bad on Prime. 14 or more taken off the score bored.

It showed a stark difference between coaching up a team and recruiting one. All those big name 4 an 5 *s couldn't do squat because they're individual stars and not a cohesive brotherhood holding each other accountable.

Totally agree with your perspective in this video about storming the field. I said last week that we should storm it to mark the change in our program, and my only regret was that I could not get down to the field in time to join them. Go Big Red, and we can save the next field storming for when we knock off a top 5 opponent.

Connor: I was at Barry’s too Friday night but probably after you as we got in late. After the game I was too drained to try to meetup and we went back to the Embassy Suites. Think my biggest takeaway from the game is how NE got wise with Will Compton and trying to change the culture at Memorial Stadium. No more “worlds nicest fans” but how about “worlds loudest fans” and use the place to our advantage. Been missing for years. Even the scoreboard helped keep energy up with “Let’s make some noise” holding the pitch and the fans mimicking it thru the CU offensive plays. Fans were perfect. Loud with.CU, quiet with NE when on offense. Got to remember this and keep the same stand the whole game energy all season!!!

This is the best I've seen Nebraska since 2012 when Taylor Martinez was our QB. Very happy with our players our coaching. Especially overcoming the crooked big 12 refs from the Colorado game. A step in the right direction from the last few years

Great energy from the crowd and team. The noise overpowered the TV audio at times.

The cool thing for me was my kids sewing what winning Nebraska Football looks like. My oldest witnessed some of Pelini's successes but was young enough it's not vivid in his mind. My youngest has never seen the Huskers relevant. The CU game was finally a do the the game show we've all craved.

Now just need to move forward and continue the work and get 1 better.

I never had 1 doubt about this game, but being in Lincoln Sat, there is one solid strong vibe and it is good.

My favorite channel for Nebraska football, thanks Connor! I would have enjoyed meeting you, but I had COVID so I stayed home and took one for the team😂. Maybe next year!

My Rhule-aid filled pre-season prediction for us was 9-3, but we’ve been playing much better than I expected so far. Our defense is insane and if key guys stay healthy I think 9-3 is the floor this year, GBR!
