Another one of my favorite African American phrases: they do too much. I currently work in the inner city school system and my African American coworkers use that phrase to describe African American students that misbehave a lot.

I love how one word can mean several things.

Like: "Beers chillin in the fridge" and "I'm just chillin with my homie" and "workin hard to feed my chillin".

This is very helpful for those who are just learning English especially because depending on who or where you live in the US you could speak VERY differently.

Thank you. I started to work with people who speak Black English. I immigrated to the US where my spouse lives. I was educated with only standard(?) English. ESL or college education didn't teach me this English. Now, I am having trouble. So, this video helps me a lot to survive my real life! I hope ESL classes at school will offer to teach me like this. I'm sure that many people pay for this class, so people like me can understand what my co-workers are saying.Thank you so much.

I never really paid attention to the sayings we have in Black America. Funny to be explained the way it is on YouTube.
