This week at the House of Valentina, it’s all about real life, real style, and a little chaos—in the best way possible! I’m taking you behind the scenes for a peek at what’s *really* been happening around here, from an epic sushi night out with the boys (hello, black cod miso and mochi dreams) to a full-blown closet meltdown trying to get dressed. But it’s not all fashion frustration—we’re diving into effortless outfit hacks, kitchen gadgets I didn’t know I needed (panini press, I’m looking at you), and *three* must-try recipes that had the whole family circling the kitchen like sharks. You’ll also get a peek at our herb garden haul, a hilarious bird situation, and a little heart-to-heart as I prepare to send my daughter off to grad school. It’s cozy, chaotic, and full of moments that make life at home feel extra special—and I can’t wait for you to come along.

I love when you’re here too Valentina 😊. I really liked the variety… the shopping, the cooking, the talking.

We're going to our local Nobu next month to celebrate our son's commitment to OSU for veterinary school! He's 23 and will be moving away from home and probably won't be moving back. I just tell myself is a great opportunity for us to get to know another city (Columbus). It's a journey for him and we are proud. Our daughter is closer to home and studying for her mechanical engineering degree. They grow up so fast. It's awesome watching their journey and supporting their choices. It's also awesome to have some down time. We go out to eat roughly twice a week, sometimes more (every day when we are traveling). Really enjoy your channel. Thank you Valentina!

A note about fatigue double check your heart. One of my issues was fatigue. After being diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, over weight, reflux, over 60, etc. It seems family history caught up with me and now scheduled for a heart cath.

It’s Mating Season for birds right now and each species has unique patterns to attract mates like loud pecking against the house, etc. Also, if you close your drapes - the birds will no longer see their reflections. Hope this helps ~

I remember when my daughter (first of 4 kids) left and went to college 6 plus hours away. The first week I turned to my husband and said WHAT DID WE DO? We missed her so much the first semester and didn’t get to come home much that far away. But she made friends became very independent and finished her fifth year in Ireland at semester abroad. She graduated cum laude too. Just wait. It gets way better. You do miss them at first. What am I saying we still miss her but she’s less than 35 minutes away in a wonderful job and is doing well! That’s all you can hope for. As long as they are happy you did good! Great video. Love Pikes! Saw the beautiful cardinal in your fountain. Gorgeous.

Try an ugly plastic owl. We used to have a woodpecker eating at our house. I used to go out and yell at the bird. I know the neighbors thought I was nuts 😂 so I can relate.

Loved everything in this video. I just shared what you made in your juicer with my son, who just got a new juicer. He said he will have to try it. Thanks.

I just loved it all! But the spur of the moment trip with you to buy plants & get groceries was super fun! More following you around on the daily please!

Valentina, we put some tinsel ( dollar store) that are in sticks around our chicken coop. It keeps the hawks from grabbing them. It may work for your birds. We tied them to sticks and pushed it in the ground. Plastic owls too.

Would love to follow along when Haley moves out of home, Exciting times ahead for her, you’ve got this Mama, out of all the appliances I’ve purchased over our 47 years of marriage Lol 😂, I’d have to say that my Air Fryer is the One appliance that I’ve used the most and if it ever broke, I’d rush out and purchase another one, we’ve had two of just about everything in my kitchen over the years with a husband who worked away and would cook for himself, instead of buying takeout, we hardly ever go out for a meal and if we do, it’s usually a Brunch during the day, we’re getting too old to go out at night Lol 😂, especially when it’s getting cooler nights here in Australia, I love to just curl up on the couch with a rug and something very light for our dinner. I purchased two of those similar dinner sets with the scalloped edges in Black and they look lovely 🥰 from Amazon, I think the brand was called Salt and Pepper if my old brain remembers correctly Lol 😂. Thanks for sharing V, Great video content as always. Cheers from Queensland Australia 🖤🤍🖤🤍💙

Peppermint Essential Oil works great to deter birds! We use it every Spring on our front door and porch area to prevent them from nesting. You have to reapply every other day in the beginning, and then maybe once a week after about 2 weeks. Reapply as soon as you see activity return. I just drip it right out of the bottle. Hope this works for you!
